About The Book

Making America’s Government Autocratic

Thomas Jefferson wrote that a well-informed electorate was a prerequisite to democracy.

Rebecca Weisberger of the University of North Carolina’s Institutional Integrity and Risk Management wrote: Voting 101: The Ethics of Being Informed: “With the rise of social media, the rapid decline in local newspaper coverage, the expansion of media echo chambers, and the rapid proliferation of “fake news,” the American people have been spoon-fed a warped sense of reality through their news. The wide public acceptance of fabricated news stories is often not intentional. As they can appear to be reliable, but is a dangerous byproduct of the media system we have allowed to take hold in the nation. The question becomes: how do we inform ourselves considering these stumbling blocks…?”

What makes "Making America's Government Autocratic" different is the author; a first-time published writer who is not a pundit, member of the media, or government who has never been a member of any political party or contributed to any political candidate.

Unlike most of the broadcast, cable, and streaming news media which tell you what to think about the daily events. This book is different. For the past 14 months, I set upon my own research to determine fact from fiction. The book contains 77 "Sections" each of which contains the presentation of information obtained from academia, experts, the media, and other sources whose insight adds to each topic. I present the material and you decide if it meets the “Preponderance of Evidence” or the information is more likely to be true.

In the era of disinformation, misinformation, and conspiracy theories, it's hard to determine facts from fiction. “Making America’s Government Autocratic” is the means of becoming well informed.

Here are examples of what you will find inside:
1. Do you know what the former commander-in chief thinks about the military?
2. Was Trump's COVID hospital stay a hoax?
3. What Trump's plan is for 2025.
4. The controversies involving the Supreme Court.
5. There has never been one iota of proof presented the 2020 election was rigged.

About the author

I am 72 years old and not a professional writer. I have never been able to grasp the concept of being politically correct. I prefer to “call it like I see and/know it.” Because of my career I chose facts over unproven statements, ideas and concepts. I believe in the “Burden of Proof.” I like to use pop culture references, humor, sarcasm and the use of colorful metaphors. The purpose of this book is to inform you of things not found in the media.

For 45 years I was a Forensic Scientist and for 3 years I was a police officer. I have an extensive background in investigation, evidence, its examination, and presentation in courts of law. There is a method in the search for evidence. It starts with information and that leads to knowledge. Once you have a general idea of the case the search for evidence begins. Once evidence is found, it is examined. The examination process leads to the development of facts. Combining all the facts arrives as proof. Combining the proof leads to establishing the truth.

Proof and truth are interesting terms in today’s political realm. It’s like the saying “Beauty Lies in the Eyes of the Beholder” with “Lies” being the key word. Rudy Giuliani, on what proof he had there was fraud in the 2020 election, stated: “We got lots of theories, we don’t have the evidence.” If I had ever lied on the witness stand that would be the end of my career. Two differing concepts of ethics.

“Anything is better than lies and deceit!” ― Leo Tolstoy, Anna Karenina
